The Great Canadian Nobodies
When asked to name some key elements of Canadian culture, many of us repeat the same stereotypes: snow, hockey, beer and a certain chain of coffee shops. How many people put great music on that list? Not enough. This is something that the “Great Canadian Nobodies” want to change. This group of talented small town lads gives audiences an entertaining reminder of the brilliant and often overlooked musicians of our country’s past and present.
With a couple of guitars, a mandolin, a single drum and their voices, the GCN specialize in adding their own flavour to Canadian songs. Whether it’s stripped down versions of rock classics, bluegrass arrangements of today’s pop hits, or Great Canadian Nobody originals, you can count on the guys to provide an entire evening of toe-tapable, sing-alongable (and don’t forget beer-drinking) entertainment.
